Building a great web service is maybe easy, but to be the best one and conserve this place is more complicated. The step could be in appearance less high but in reality the simplicity leads to a larger competition and a multiplication of those who want to try their chance in a profitable market.
To have the best and most attractive site and concept you have to follow some efficiency rules.
You have to put on the skin of your potential customers.
Your site has to progress with the mind and desire of your customers.
Each minute spent on your site tallies with a different and often more and more specific and demanding wish. The customer is the king and you are the one only responsible for your success or your failure. But each hurdle crossed on your site is a new proof of your good performance. The goal is obviously to succeed in pulling and keeping maximum people and for the longest time.
It’s at this point that you have to do something different. Your customers must want to come back to you and refer you to others as well, and this needs to be consistent.
The interaction between your site and customers is the key to your success and achievement.
You won’t just be on top of the world, but at the top of Google as well!
Did you think that Google was already everywhere? You were wrong! After Google map, Google search and a lot of others web services, Google succeeds today in opening Google Voice, a new service to phones. In fact, Google voice already existed with the purchase of GrandCentral in 2007. Its goal was “one phone number for all your phones, for life”. However, it apparently didn’t really work.
But now Google bought one million numbers and seems to be ready to launch this new project. All the official sites of Google announce this service and propose some invitation to be the first to have a number. But be careful, this service is reserved for American people and has to be tested by a closed user group.
However, phoning by internet, what’s new? We can already use MSN or Skype for free. With Google Voice, users can unify all your routing home, office and other numbers and call abroad for amazingly cheap price (but local call has always the same price since you always use a phone network). However, thanks to a technological performance, Google succeeded in converting voicemail into text mail which can be read or heard later, whichever is useful to find information. They can transfer their call on one of the telephones. The more awaited feature however, is free SMS.
To summarize, Google Voice doesn’t propose a very new novelty but its advantage is to gather together all these features in one free service.
Facebook, the most successful social network today, allows its adherents to create very different groups. However Facebook has to protect its system and that’s why some rules have to be respected.
It seems to be evident that a group like “Rogue Facebook Apps Early Warning Group” appears as a dangerous threat, even more when one knows that they spread unsafe information. But nevertheless, appearances could be misleading. Actually this group was created to warn its members about attacks happening on the social network and the risky information was divulged by mistake. But the Facebook team disabled the account of the group’s administrator. This decision appears like an unfair punishment.
The red line between knowing to attack and to protect isn’t often easy to determine.
In fact the real stake of “protecting Facebook” is not really to care for the application, but to protect the personal information and data of its numerous members who trust it and its security. We know that Facebook is not just a network of private life but also a job network. Therefore the dangers and stakes are greater.
So is it really a shame to form a group which can help adherents to be sure of their privacy and confidentiality? Having to opt between the network system’s survival and our own information, the choice should be quick!
Invite is an event management software developed in PHP/MySQL, helping you set up a feature rich event management site. Invite is also available in the ASP.NET version to offer the essential event management features with high security.
Invite is generally designed to help people organize events online. The internet offers a platform to reach people sitting in various places instantly. So spreading the word of the event through the internet is the best way to convey the event details to people.
Setting an event management site is a great way to keep track of events such as birthdays, weddings, anniversaries or any other events. The event organizer can get to know how many people will attend the party, so as to arrange food, drinks and other things for the guests. They can also set the easiest and shortest route to the event venue using Google maps which will make it easier for guests to find the venue, and save you the trouble of having to explain the route to many people.
An unlimited number of events can be added and managed. It facilitates users to set an appropriate wall paper for their event and watch changes in their event page. The event notifications can be received through email, SMS and instant messages.
“Invite is a remarkable tool designed to make the job of managing an event easier,” explains Mr.Aravind, the CTO of Agriya. “It is a complete solution for all your event needs, and gives you facility to search, create and share events online. We are confident that this software will be accepted by clients just like our other products.”
Add chat room to your website in minutes using Kootali chat software and take your community site to the next level. It is the right time to add some real-time interactivity to your site and pull in more members.
Kootali is a social networking software that helps start a professional closed social network. Based on the demand of Kootali clients, the Kootali team has developed a new add-on module called Kootali Chat. Site users can discover and strengthen friendship through the interactive chat feature.
A lot of social networking sites are springing up everyday. It is only additional innovative features that would make a site stand apart from the others. The chat feature is the feature in demand in the networking market. The chat window will help members convey instant messages and get instant replies, which is quite impossible with an internal messaging system.
It is quite natural to go for a social networking site with chat feature over a networking site without it. The chat software integrates the live chat function in to your scripts so your member gain maximum benefit from it. Currently, the beta version of the chat software has been released. It offers a virtual discussion platform to facilitate and manage real-time text messages.
“I’m excited to release the Chat software for Kootali as per our clients’ demand” said Ms.Sheerin, the Vice President of Agriya Infoway, “It’s the right time to add some real-time interactivity to your Kootali site and pull more members to it.”
Facebook is ready to offer Vanity URL to all its users as per their desire on first-come, first–serve basis. So don’t miss this opportunity to get a Facebook profile page in your name.
Facebook has stated this clearly in its blog:
Starting at 12:01 a.m. EDT on Saturday, June 13, you’ll be able to choose a username on a first-come, first-serve basis for your profile and the Facebook Pages that you administer by visiting www.facebook.com/username/. You’ll also see a notice on your home page with instructions for obtaining your username at that time.
According to your user name, the choices will appear in the vanity URL setting page. You will be allowed to choose only one from the list. Apart from this, it also offers an option to enter a name of your choice but it must be at least five characters and only include alphanumeric characters.
Organizations, celebrities and politicians are advised to claim their URL early to avoid cyber-squatting.
Susan Jacobson, of Temple University’s journalism department, says “Waiting for a service to catch on or to become newsworthy is waiting too long. Cyber-squatters will start registering names as soon as they become aware of a new service. While it is possible to get your name back, it will take some time and could be costly.”
Getting a vanity URL will help you get huge traffic via natural search. Don’t forget to grab yours now.
Starting today, there is no need to claim that your digital cameras are not built to provide long-lasting photographic memories. Mugshot helps you capture multiple photos through your webcam and create a photo library.

Using the techniques, you can add special effects to your photos. No experience is required to add special effects that will impress your friends and family. You can simply add some pretty frames, flowers, and cartoon pictures on your photos on a single click.
Mugshot enables you to add logos as per your desire and make them clickable on site. It offers easy integration with PHP websites, which encourage freedom of choice in managing new challenges while integrating the software.
To install Mugshot you don’t need any Flash based Servers like Red5, Wowza, and FMS. It is very easy to install and simple to use. Users can set how many seconds later the picture should be taken after you click the capture button.
“Mugshot will impress all photo lovers and help them create a photo library. We plan to add many more features and enable our customers share photos with special effects” said Ms. Sheerin, the Vice President of Agriya.
For years, it has been assumed that home internet usage, especially social networking would cannibalize live television viewing. Social interaction online was following a pattern that a lot of the now popular media followed in their formative years, only more so. The advent of social networking over the past few years has witnessed millions of users signing up and contributing to online activity, with sustained and ever growing interest. It was the kind of interest that followed the introduction of live television. There was word going around that social networking might even one day make television viewing obsolete with personalized visual content available online, but there’s something interesting happening between social networking and live television.
Both social networking and television reach out to a large viewing audience, and instead of one overpowering and making the other obsolete, social networking is now being used to promote television viewing by the television networks, the latest being the introduction of MTV House. MTV House is a fascinating 3-D social network that promotes interaction between MTV’s young audience and allows the network to reach out better to its viewership through interactive content, competitions and promos. The MTV House site has been created to resemble a prefab building that contains a number of rooms where users can interact with channel-based characters and one another through alter egos called Avatars.
The ‘house’ offers MTV interesting branding opportunities through generic advertising through themed rooms and sponsorship, a potential gold mine. Networking sites like MTV House contribute to building an online community for audiences passionate about television viewing. Their digital activity is constantly evolving and adapting, providing for an enhanced viewership experience, allowing the viewing audience to express themselves better.
By carrying out continuous research to find out what the audiences really want and by introducing this enhanced user experience where the audience can interact with each other and the brand, the television networks are in turn responding to their needs.
While there is still a lot to learn about the interaction of social networking and TV, it’s clear that there is opportunity for network programmers and advertisers to leverage social networking to drive audience participation with both the programs and the advertising. Any show with a deeply loyal fan base could drive live viewing and deeper engagement through these telecommunities.
On the 13th of June, Agriya was formally changed to Ahsan Technologies. While we’ll update you in another blog post on what this means for Agriya and Agriya’s products and services, this post is to tell you all about the inauguration function.
It was a fantastically hot day as the mercury pushed 40 degrees; the setting was the grounds of a large villa by the sea (the Bay of Bengal to be precise) and in attendence was Ahsan’s 170 strong workforce.
The theme for the day had been unanimously decided to be “Hawaiian”. The designers helped out by creating the wonderful poster board that dominated the proceedings along with the graphics for the famous Hawaii surf boards that adorned the sides of the stage. The ladies helped out by bringing flowers and garlands to hang around everyones necks and in the hair. Ahsan even provided everyone with straw hats to give an authentic feel to the setting.
With tropical weather, palm trees, people dressed in colourful ‘hawaii’ clothes and silky white beaches and waves crashing nearby, anybody would feel like in they were in Hawaii.
The beautiful MC started off our proceedings, where dozens of employees showed that they are not just awesome programmers…there’s a whole load of untapped talent beneath the surface of Ahsan. Kollywood (that’s the local film industry) and Bollywood have surely missed out on some of these guys. From singing to dancing, employees amazed us all with their hidden abilities.
You would probably have a hard time finding the gourmet lunch, that was served up, in Hawaii, but that didn’t stop the staff feasting on the delightful dishes that were available – Not a bean was left over by the end!
After lunch the staff got to prove their effectiveness in working as a team – a trait that is essential to the IT field. I’m happy to report that the writer of this blog entry was on the winning team for all of the team building competitions! A reflection of my team leadership abilities? I prefer not to say
As night fell and the stars came out, everyone swapped the casual Hawaii costumes for formal wear. The ladies in their elegant Indian sarees, and the guys looking sharp in shirts and ties. This part of the day was all about celebrating Ahsan and the staff that make the company what it is today.
Staff won awards for a whole range of categories, everything from Best Team Leader to Work / Life Balance Award. There were also speeches from several high profile guests including a prominent legal advocates in the state of Tamil Nadu.
The night was rounded off in the same manner in which the day had begun, and more importantly, it was the most anticipated part of the whole day: the final results of the Ahsan general elections. We had seen all kinds of activity in the run up to the elections, canvasing by potential candidates, ‘favours’ being handed out, alliances being made and a whole lot more.
The most important result of the night came in the end. Who would hold the crown for Mr and Ms Ahsan 2009? People were on tenterhooks as everything built up to the final announcement.
It was a apparently a tightly run race, but in the end Mr. Varun (our ever charming BDE) and Ms. Shankari (our enigmatic programmer) came out tops.
