Also if one reader clicks on the “share” option present at the base of the page, the content can directly be viewed on Facebook thereby enabling other followers to also view the blog pages. This is a very simple and smart tool which can be used to display details about your blog.

   When it comes to other sites like FriendFeed which is a very interesting site to have discussions, all the users need to do is type in their FriendFeed username and change a few of the settings. Once this is done all the comments about the user’s blog can be viewed on the site and threads of conversations along with the comments in line can be viewed on the blog pages also. Plug ins also come with tons of other features one of them being “instant highlighter”. In short, this feature helps users highlight certain parts of your blog and this can be viewed in social networking sites. Social bookmarking is another feature that is becoming increasingly popular. Activating social bookmarks will result in a few icons appearing at the base of the page and the readers can specify which icon they would prefer. Once that is clicked, the blog pages can be added to sites like Delicious, Twitter, Facebook, Yahoo Buzz, and Digg, on to the profile pages.

   Plug ins have very easily revolutionized the ideas behind establishing links between social networking and blogging and will definitely prove to be very useful for every avid blogger.
