PayPal told me four days ago that MassPay could be approved along with Website Payments pro approval which is $30 per month. Once, we submitted our app, PayPal compliance thought that SF Platform was a way for use to collect money on behalf of charities, which it's not.
After that was cleared up, compliance again wanted complete details, with flow chart, and how each API call is made, and where it comes from. We were denied our application after submitting what they requested.
Yes, customers will always use PayPal, but for merchants the company is very capricious and under some circumstances they will freeze funds like that..By implementing changes without letting their merchants know, they create a very uncertain atmosphere, where certainty is needed.
A viable alternative, at least for SF Platform and the crowdfunding model is Amazon FPS, using marketplace and agregated payments.
Amazon holds the CC pre-authorization for 90+ days I believe. No Mass pay returns needed. The project doesn't fund, the pre-authorization falls off. I also believe thats why it's the choice of established, successful crowd funding sites like Kickstarter and IndieGoGo.
Through tech support, we've asked Agriya sales to contact us with a quote to develop this as a payment system a couple times but they have not responded. Why?
Shouldn't be too hard to integrate fairly cheaply and next step will be to put out a call to developers on elance and get some solutions.

Wish I would’ve seen this blog before I bought SF Platform! But i recommend if you do your custom payment gateway will be the best because no script developers in the world do this when they sell their software

So because of paypal problems let me give u an idea, why not agriya develop their own payment system in their products which does not depend on any 3rd party payment processor or integrate with payment gateways like plimus, neteller, authorize.net and there are many that can be used instead of paypal.
