Is Agriya More Popular Than Infosys, TCS, Wipro and HCL?
We always knew that 2010 was a special year for Agriya with the incredible growth driven by our indemand GroupDeal and FP Platform products, but it was only recently that we realized just how popular Agriya had become on the world stage.
There is a data metric from Alexa which attempts to rank all the websites in the world based on the amount of traffic each site gets. Now there is a little caveat here because the way Alexa generates this data is from people downloading their (and their partners) toolbar which logs each site the person visits. This data is then extrapolated to give a best guess estimation on the real amount of traffic a website receives. If a website has a traffic rank of over 100,000 then Alexa says that the data is not reliable enough, but as you approach the #1 spot the accuracy increases as they are able to use a larger sampling of data.
The graph below shows how Agriya has experienced explosive growth in traffic (and hence sales) in 2010 where we have nearly doubled the amount of people that are visiting our site (and our Google Analytics broadly correlates to the data in the graph below).

If we compare the traffic rank of Infosys, Wipro, TCS and HCL – which are the largest IT companies in India and dominate the enterprise market and have multi-million dollar contracts with the biggest companies in the world – then you can see that Agriya.com outranks all of them!

Agriya is becoming a major brand in its own right with over 500 people around the world searching for the company each and every week. Referrals and personal recommendations are part of the main driving forces behind the increased brand awareness but the media has played a large role with the likes of the Wall Street Journal singling out Agriya as a provider of group buying software and the BBC interviewing the owners of TipToken, another group buying website developed by Agirya.
Of course, such massive growth doesn’t come without some growing pains and Agriya is working very hard to ensure that all customers are getting the best possible service. We’ve recently added 4 new staff to the sales and support team and training them up as fast as possible to take on the extra workload.
The graph below shows just how much the brand awareness of Agriya has grown in the last 16 months. In December 2009 there were less than 200 people a week who wanted to find out more information about Agriya, now that has more than doubled to over 500 people a week.

Agriya Launches New Web Properties!
For those of you who are not Uber-nerds like us, you might be confused by the term “web property” but it basically means a website built to earn income. This has been part of the business plan of Agriya for a long time now to create various web properties in different domains, and just like London buses, we wait for one and suddenly two come along at once.

From Food to Fashion, Health to Wealth, no stone is left unturned in this online web magazine. Eve’s Cafe has been built on the Cake PHP platform and incorporates a custom design with integration. Articles and video tutorials will be added to the site daily and we’re open to advertising enquiries on the site for suitably related products and services.iSongs – www.iSongs.fm
iSongs has been created using our Volume software with a fantastic custom design (one of the first to make me go “wow!”) and a few script modifications. The portal is aimed at the Tamil speaking community because apparently I’ve been told that there are 90 million Tamils in Tamil Nadu alone, and that figure doesn’t include the diaspora spread across the globe! Tamil music is upbeat, loud and proud which makes it the perfect companion for Volume

Popular social networking script, Kootali comes with blogs and more new features
Chennai, April 30, 2009. Agriya Infoway which is a developer of world class social networking scripts announces the release of their latest version of Kootali 2.0.5, a closed social networking script. The R&D department at Agriya has analyzed Kootali and its competitors’ products, to come up with new features and other issues in Kootali. Based on the analysis, the Kootali team have incorporated new applications and fixed many issues.Here we have summed up the changes in the new version.
1. Implemented a new Application module “Blogs”.
2. Added a new option to enable members to delete their walls/comments.
3. Shows invitations in the Group and Events pages, and requests in the Friends and Photo pages.
4. Implemented the “Not yet replied” feature in the Friends module, to help members to get a list of friends who have not yet replied to their friends’ request.
5. Provided the option for sending message to multiple users in the Share > Send message.
6. Fixed the issue that occurred in the “Message Sent” items when message is sent to multiple users.
7. Fixed the pagination issues in the search results.
8. For webmasters, the Language control for Quick links is implemented.
9. Fixed the wall issues in the network view page.
10. In the old version, when admin deletes or deactivates the logged-in user, an issue is occurred in member end. This error is fixed.
11. Replaced the Swift Email Library with PHP Mailer Library.
12. Applied the privacy control on playlist during creation, and added the “others playlist tab” in the browse section to view friends’ playlists.
13. Listed the playlists and albums under the tags section.
14. Removed the channels and sub channels section from the tags page.
15. Renamed the “Related tags” to “Video tags”.
16. Provided option to get album tags in the create album page.
17. Removed the content type (adult, non adult) in the create playlist page.
18. Calculated the playing time for all video/audio files.
19. The audio/video rating feature has been tweaked.

Agriya announces release of Anova 3.0.2
Agriya Infoway announced the release of a new version of Anova, which is a knowledge sharing script that helps webmasters build an answering site similar to Yahoo answers. In the latest release, the Anova team has incorporated two more options in the ‘forum’ and ‘report bug’ pages for administrators, and fixed some bugs as well.Now webmasters can change the forum display order, in the admin panel. Bug reporting is an attractive feature offered by Anova, to enable users to report bugs on the site. In the old version, users could report bugs and admin could view and rectify it. In the new version, the Anova team has added a reply option in the admin report bugs page to enable admin to reply to user’s bug post.
The issue of displaying RSS feed questions in other languages except English is fixed. The blur issue in the search box is also fixed. The problem of playing audio even after closing the light-window in IE 6 is solved. The hard coded text for search more text near the advanced search link is removed.

We have a big problem.
Agriya has a new product launching soon and it’s causing something of a kerfuffle in the Agriya offices. Feathers have been ruffled, knickers have got in a twist and people have been unfriended on Facebook. Yes, it’s really that bad.
There’s even talk of handbags at dawn.
The problem comes down to what are we going to call the next awesome Agriya product?
A little background…
Our next new product is going to be a social bookmarking script, which will allow your users to bookmark all their favourite sites and discover new sites. It’s like one big search engine, except the users decide which sites are important, not a great big (evil?) spider.
So, obviously we have this amazing new product, but what good is a product if it doesn’t have an incredible name?!
Help us choose the name, and stop this wanton act of unfriending people on Facebook. It’s gone too far already!

Rayzz 2.3.6 Released!
The Rayzz developers have been working on Rayzz for the past few weeks to fix a number of new bugs and improve its functionality. With their effort, most of the bugs in the software are fixed, and it has then been released as Rayzz 2.3.6The bugs that were fixed in the new version are:
- Moved the hard coded language values to the language files.
- The error in GetCode in My Videos listing page is fixed.
- In the member manage page, the unused ‘set affiliate’ and ‘earnings’ links are removed.
- In the old version, the checked user name does not appear in the popup window in ‘To’ address field of the mail compose page. It is rectified in the new version.
- Clicking on any Arabic tags or search in Arabic, always shows the message “No Records Found”. The developers have fixed this bug.
- The error in editing the configuration in admin when extra comments are added in the config.inc.php file is fixed.
- When YouTube videos are uploaded, it throws Invalid URLs, if the server is not able to access YouTube without WWW in the URL. Now the developers have fixed this.
- The issue of playing from the beginning on clicking pause and play in the audio player is fixed.
This looks to be a great improvement over the current system, and those who already use it will get the update for free.
It’s time to update your Rayzz with new release, in order to keep the system up to date and improve its characteristics.
