In US, elected President Barack Obama on Wednesday said while America cannot “shy away” from globalization, it would have to take measures to ensure that jobs are not shipped overseas.
“We have to stop providing tax breaks for companies that are shipping jobs overseas and give those tax breaks to companies that are investing here in the United States of America” ( source: http://www.rediff.com/money/2008/feb/27bpo.htm ).
Through outsourcing, India creates additional net value for the US economy that did not exist before. When $1 of labor cost is outsourced from the US, the total value created globally is $1.45 to $1.47. Out of this, India captures just 33 cents. The remaining $1.12 to $1.14 is captured by the US in terms of new revenues.
Today, the world looks towards the Indian IT software and services industry for its good quality and high performance. India has and will continue to have a growing number of vendors successfully for working on the most sophisticated projects in the world.
