At WordCamp Mid Atlantic 2009, Anil Dash, CEO of Six Apart announced that they offer plug-ins for their bitter rival WordPress. ReadWriteWeb has stated that this action is like “Apple releasing software that runs on Windows”. This attempt is a strategic move to monetize through the popularity of WordPress.
Six Apart has clearly stated that their effort is to help bloggers irrespective of blogger tools used by them, to make the most of their blog using powerful services.
